CAY HILL, Sint Maarten—The Integrity Chamber has published its 2025 Annual Report, providing an overview of the Chamber’s activities, achievements, and operations throughout the year. The report highlights the Chamber’s continued efforts to strengthen integrity, accountability, and good governance in Sint Maarten through its advisory, investigative, and awareness mandates.
In 2025 – within its advisory role, the Integrity Chamber advised the Government of Sint Maarten on the establishment and implementation of an Internal Whistleblowing Policy. Additionally, the Chamber submitted an Advice to the Prime Minister on conflict of interests.
The Chamber completed two (2) investigations in 2025 concerning the issuance of bus and taxi licenses within the Ministry of TEATT and bidding procedures at Princess Juliana International Airport. Additionally, the Chamber initiated an investigation into reports alleging inappropriate behavior within an administrative body.
The Integrity Chamber continued to expand its public awareness efforts throughout 2025 by engaging government, civil servants, students, and the wider community on the importance of integrity and ethical conduct. A major milestone was the successful hosting of the 2nd Integrity Symposium, held under the theme “Whistleblowing – Encouraging Accountability.” The Chamber also introduced an integrity-themed coloring book for primary school students, continued integrity sessions for newly hired civil servants, and strengthened awareness on integrity-related matters at various events.
The Integrity Chamber remains committed to promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability in Sint Maarten and looks forward to continuing this work in partnership with government, public institutions, and the community.
