The Integrity Chamber Advocates for Integrity at Labor Symposium

CAY HILL, Sint Maarten – May 2025 – The Director of the Integrity Chamber, Ms. Charna Pompier, recently delivered an address at the 2025 Labor Symposium organized by the WICSU-PSU and WITU unions. The presentation emphasized the organization’s commitment to fostering integrity within Government and across all professional sectors.

Addressing labor representatives, union members, and other professionals, the Director highlighted the Integrity Chamber’s efforts to promote ethical conduct and transparency, detailing the organization’s role in investigating integrity issues and upholding high standards within government and its entities.

A key focus of the presentation was the Integrity Chamber’s advice on an internal whistleblowing policy for government. This initiative aims to establish a secure mechanism for civil servants to report concerns without fear of reprisal, thereby strengthening accountability. The advice underscores the importance of a safe reporting environment, early detection of misconduct, and robust whistleblower protection.

The address was well-received, prompting discussions on confidentiality and whistleblower safeguards. The Integrity Chamber remains committed to promoting integrity, accountability, and transparency in government and commends the WICSU-PSU and WITU for the opportunity to address this vital topic.
